CNA Requirements

• Certification from an accredited CNA training course
• Active CNA license from the state in which you plan to work
• Minimum 1 year acute care of CNA work experience
• Push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds
• Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking
• Annual physical
• Negative TB test results
• BLS in CPR
• Basic Computer Skills
• COVID-19 Vaccination** EPIC EMR experience a plusCNA Responsibilities
  As a ShiftMed certified nursing assistant, you'll be responsible for but not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Measuring patient vital signs accurately.
  • Notifying the nursing supervisor when patients report pain.
  • Assisting patients with ambulation and proper bed positioning.
  • Identifying and communicating abnormal findings to the nursing supervisor.
  • Providing timely documentation that's accurate and organized.
  • Helping bathe and groom patients.
  • Feeding patients and documenting intake.
