Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs radiographic procedures as requested by physicians. - Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.


Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: -ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required, or must obtain within two weeks from date of hire or transfer.

SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills.

EXPERIENCE: - Minimum one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical education experience.

NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
-Responsible to: - Service Line Director

ENVIRONMENT:
- Bloodborne pathogen C
Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Prolonged, extensive or considerate standing and walking. - Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
