RN - Transition to Practice (Medical/Surgical/Progressive) Nurse Residency at Presbyterian Healthcare Services summary:
The RN - Transition to Practice Nurse Residency is a year-long program designed for newly graduated nurses aiming to establish a strong foundation in Medical, Surgical, and Progressive Care. Participants will gain valuable experience, receive continuing education credits, and have the opportunity to secure permanent staff nurse positions upon successful completion. The residency requires full-time commitment, offers full benefits, and includes education differentials for higher qualifications.
Overview: Presbyterian provides a year-long Medical, Surgical, and Progressive -Care Nurse Residency Program for newly graduated nurses who are interested in starting their professional career in these areas. The program has shown to improve engagement and retention by providing a strong nursing foundation for quality nursing practice. Residents will obtain continuing education credits upon completion of the program. - -Newly licensed nurses, graduating from an accredited college, within 12 months are welcome to apply. Qualified candidates must have a current New Mexico RN license and an associate's degree in nursing or higher (BSN preferred). Residents will be hired as full-time nursing staff "in training" with full benefits. Hours will be variable and at various sites.
