RN - Transition to Practice (Medical/Surgical/Progressive) Nurse Residency at Presbyterian Healthcare Services summary:
The RN - Transition to Practice Nurse Residency is a comprehensive, year-long program designed for newly graduated nurses focusing on Medical, Surgical, and Progressive Care. It enhances nursing engagement and retention by offering a solid foundation in quality nursing practices while providing opportunities for education credits and career development. Successful residents will be considered for permanent full-time staff nurse positions within the Presbyterian Healthcare system upon completion of the program.
Overview: Presbyterian provides a year-long Medical, Surgical, and Progressive -Care Nurse Residency Program for newly graduated nurses who are interested in starting their professional career in these areas. The program has shown to improve engagement and retention by providing a strong nursing foundation for quality nursing practice. Residents will obtain continuing education credits upon completion of the program. - -Newly licensed nurses, graduating from an accredited college, within 12 months are welcome to apply. Qualified candidates must have a current New Mexico RN license and an associate's degree in nursing or higher (BSN preferred). Residents will be hired as full-time nursing staff "in training" with full benefits. Hours will be variable and at various sites.
