Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse at University of New Mexico - Hospitals, you will have the opportunity to work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients. You will serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care, ensuring adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

• Providing direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans
• Administering medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights
• Assisting with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtainedQualifications for this role include:
  • A nationally accredited nursing graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provision or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreementWorking conditions for this role include:
    • Heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
    • Significant hazard of chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring personal protective equipmentDepartment for this role is Registered Nurse.
