Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, working within the nursing process to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care.Responsibilities

• Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients.
• Work within Hospitals, Nursing division and departmental policies.
• Implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations.
• Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
• Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with Hospitals standards.Qualifications
  • Program Graduate.
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days.Working ConditionsThe Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to biohazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment.
