Job SummaryUniversity of New Mexico - Hospitals is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a LPN, you will work under the direction of a RN to provide direct patient care and ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective direct care to patients in a variety of age groups, including neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
• Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent is obtained.
• Participate in emergency measures, such as CPR and first aid.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and families.
• Enhance professional growth and development through education and training programs.Requirements
  • Graduate of an LPN accredited program.
  • Completion of the Organization IV Education and Training Program.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days of hire.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse in NM or reciprocal agreement state.Working ConditionsHeavy work requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.Standard safety precautions are required, including chemical and bio-hazardous materials.
