Job SummaryAs a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Pre-Anesthesia Clinic at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to assigned patients. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.Key Responsibilities--- Work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients.--- Ensure adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures.--- Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.Requirements--- Education: Program Graduate, LPN Accredited Program Graduate, Complete Organization IV Education & Training Program.--- Experience: No minimum experience required.--- Credentials: Licensed Practical Nurse in NM or reciprocity agreement, CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days.Working Conditions--- Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.--- Sig Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials require PPE, Limited access to med room.
