Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years; Level 1 Trauma experience preferred License: License can pend at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: TNCC certification before submission Description: No RQI certifications accepted. Travel experience is strongly preferred. Approximately 60% to 80% of the Emergency Department patients are admitted. Many of the Emergency Department rooms are used for holding. No locals within 75 miles. COVID vaccination required, with religious and medical exemptions accepted upon completion of a form signed by a provider. NIH can pend until the compliance document deadline before the traveler starts. Currently experiencing an increased number of admitted holds. Medication administration, including IV medication via the seven medication rights. Document and communicate clinical findings in the Emergency Department. Staffing ratios are 1:5 patients per nurse. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend shifts may be required, with weekend nights considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On-call is not required. Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including optional floating to Pediatric Emergency Department and expected floating to Adult PCUs, ED Holding, and Trauma as determined by staffing needs. Block scheduling is not available. No locals accepted within a 75-mile radius. Pending license is accepted. RTO restrictions apply, with greater than 7 days needing approval. Contracted hours are guaranteed weekly. Facility can call off staff three times throughout a 13-week assignment. Total staffed beds are 554. Scrub color required is black, not provided. Charting is done using Cerner. Flu vaccine is required, with medical and religious exemptions accepted. Drug screens must be completed within 30 days of starting. Modules are billable up to 4 hours and are completed during orientation and annually.
