Overview: Presbyterian is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The RN will provide specialized, high-quality care to critically ill or premature newborns, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role requires strong clinical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to support families during a challenging time. How you grow, learn and thrive matters here.--- Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities--- Strongline Staff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern)--- Shift differentials for nights and weekends--- Differentials for higher education, certifications and various lead roles--- Malpractice liability insurance--- Loan forgiveness through the New Mexico Higher Education Department --- EPIC electronic charting system Responsibilities: --- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining specialized equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.--- Perform detailed assessments of neonates physical and emotional health, identifying any changes in condition and responding promptly.--- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and lactation consultants, to develop and implement individualized care plans.--- Provide parental education and emotional support, fostering a family-centered care approach to help parents understand their baby's condition and participate in their care.--- Utilize advanced NICU technology and equipment to ensure the highest standard of neonatal care.--- Assist in preparing neonates for procedures or surgeries and provide post-procedure care.--- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure the NICU environment is clean and safe.
