Santa Fe Recovery Center is a leading provider of substance use
disorder and mental health treatment and education services. We are
looking for a full-time Child Therapist to join our team at our
Santa Fe offices. We offer a competitive salary range from $26.50 -
$29.50 (BOE) and the Benefits shown below. Experience working in

their immediate families Summary:Under the supervision of the Chief
Clinical Officer, and the Clinical Supervisor, with dotted line
reporting to the Director of Child and Family Services, the Child
Therapist specializes in early childhood development and provides
counseling and therapy services to children under 8 years old and
their families. The Child Therapist conducts assessments, performs
child interventions as appropriate, recommends other services for
referrals, assists with consultation and program development, and
delivers age-appropriate curriculum for children and families. The
role requires adherence to trauma-informed, client-centered care
principles and supports the LAUNCH project's goals in fostering
healthy child development.
The Child Therapist functions within the framework of state and
federal law, the counseling and/or social work code of ethics,
SFRC/FCDRC policies and procedures. The Child Therapist is expected
to work with SFRC/FCDRC leadership and staff to develop, promote,
and maintain cultural proficiency throughout the
organization.Duties and Responsibilities of the Child Therapist
(Included but not limited to) You'll report to the Clinical
Supervisor and:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of children under 8 to
determine appropriate interventions and treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions using
evidence-based practices, ensuring fidelity to therapeutic
models.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for children
and families to support healthy development.
- Recommend referrals to other services and coordinate care with
external providers to ensure comprehensive support for children and
families.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including the
LAUNCH project team, to integrate therapeutic services into broader
community health initiatives.
- Participate in consultation and program development to enhance
service delivery and meet the needs of the target population.
- Ensure that all clinical documentation is completed accurately,
in compliance with state, federal, and organizational
standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development, including
attending mandatory trainings and participating in supervision
sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with state and federal
laws, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Respond to client emergencies following established protocols
and provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of clinical programming
and contribute to research and the implementation of new
therapeutic interventions.
- Support the development and maintenance of cultural proficiency
throughout the organization.
- Participate in public awareness campaigns and community
outreach efforts related to child and family services.
- Perform other duties as required by the Chief Clinical Officer,
Clinical Supervisor, and Director of Child and Family
Services.Requirements:MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Must be computer literate in order to effectively maintain
compliance with BHSD Standards and requirements for the use of
computerized client assessment, data systems, etc.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and other
organizational record-keeping systems
- Bi-Lingual/Bi-Cultural preferredEducation and Experience:
- Current New Mexico Board licensure as LSAA, LADAC, LMHC, LPCC,
LMSW, LCSW, LISW, LMFT
- Specialized experience in early childhood development and
providing therapy to young children and families
- Experience working with clients with substance use disorders
and co-occurring mental health disorders, providing individual and
group psychotherapy
- Maintain a current, valid NM Driver's License, with a clean
driving record and auto insurance
