• Registered Nurse position available at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center
• Travel/Contract employment type
• MUST WORK 2 OUT OF 3 OF THE HOLIDAY BUNDLES (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD)
• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• First-timers accepted: Yes
• Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes; Will have patient assignment similar to this department.
• Open to accommodating block schedule? Not guaranteed
  • Job Requirements
  • New Mexico license can pend at time of submission
  • COVID vaccination required - religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of COVID exemption form, signed by a provider for medical
  • No locals within 75 miles
  • Ratios: 1:6
  • Years of experience required: 2
  • Certs required: ACLS, BLS required; NIH preferred
  • Special Requirements: Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, CVA, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, etc.

    • Weekend requirements: possibly, depends on census and staff availability
    • Is on-call required? No
    • RTO Restrictions: greater than 7 days needs approval
      • Unit Specific Information
      • Unit Info/Patient Diagnoses/Special Equipment: Typical medical surgical patients including but not limited to CHF exacerbation, pneumonia, cellulitis, alcohol withdrawal, etc.
      • No titrating drips administered in department, exception is Heparin
      • Wound vacs, kangaroo pump
